John burns theater dedication - july 8, 2009
On July 8, 2009 the theater at Park High School was officially named John Burns Theater, in honor of an outstanding member of the Park faculty and chairman of the drama department for over three decades. There was a dedication ceremony at 7:00 pm in the theater at Park with a reception that followed.

Prior to July 2011, the web site that you are visiting was stored on a Apple homepage.mac.com web server. Apple announced in June 2011 that it will no longer provide the hosting of web sites. This change will go into effect in June 2012.
As of July 2011, the web site domain name of "www.racinepark.org" points to a new web site host and no longer points to the web site files stored on the Apple server homepage.mac.com. The web site will be viewable on the Apple homepage.mac.com server until June 2012 but files will not be updated on the Apple homepage.mac.com server between July 2011 and June 2012.
If you have previously bookmarked the History of Washington Park High School web site, you should go to the web site address of www.racinepark.org and make a new bookmark. If your web browser shows a web site address of http://homepage.mac.com/fbpark/parkhs, then you are visiting the site on the Apple homepage.mac.com server. You will need to go to www.racinepark.org and make a new bookmark so you will be visiting the web site on the new web server.
The web site address of www.racinepark.org currently goes to the new web site host and will be viewable until a time when the web master no longer chooses to pay for the hosting of the web site.
